We finally have a grownup room! What's even more
incredible is my husband had a huge impact on the look of the room. We
both feel we accomplished a balance of masculine and feminine. We used
warm tones on the walls and ceiling. The ceiling and one wall are done in
American Traditions Butter cream and the other walls are done in Snuff,
but I prefer to call it chocolate. The baseboards, door trim and ceiling
trim are done in a color called Moonshine. To save money I painted our
existing furniture in the Moonshine and trimmed it out in the Snuff and
then used a satin polyurethane finish. We added a standing and table lamp
to increase lighting and added a wicker seating area in a brushed gold
finish with burgundy pillows. The window curtains are antique satin in
gold with a burgundy scarf.
